“My husband and I had a great Christmas Eve dinner at West. It’s was truly wonderful. It’s hard to cook my steak perfect because I am one of those that wants it tender but I don’t like any pink. My steak was the best ever! Perfectly cooked. My husband had a tenderloin with ribs on that he said was awesome. The shrimp cocktail was amazing… they added wasabi to the cocktail sauce instead of horseradish, what a kick and what a great idea. Great wine list but only $20 for corkage. A new favorite.”

“We went for Happy Hour but my husband ordered the filet with truffled mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Of course I must “try” it all and the filet was the best I’ve ever tasted! The steak sandwich with truffle fries was perfection but the Au Jus and a creamy horse radish sauce was a special touch. We also had the tuna poke to start and the freshness and sesame oil, seeds and roe elevated the flavors to a new level.”

“My sister and I visited this restaurant for its half price happy hour dinner menu and it was excellent! We shared the scallops and filet which was perfectly cooked. The desert was also delicious and all of it was half price. They do have a dress code such as no beach wear, but business casual is perfectly fine. The hostess and wait staff were friendly. The sommelier was fantastic in helping my girlfriend select the right wine and our waitress Tiffanie was amazing. She helped push the whole experience above and beyond. We enjoyed eating the specials, especially the Stuffed Squash Blossoms friend in a tempura batter and the Waygu filet and African Lobster tail special. “We joined about 18 other guests last week at the Pride Mountain wine dinner at West Steak & Seafood. We hadn’t been back since the change of chefs — but that was a mistake. The food was celestial; every course was inventive and the amuse bouche was absolutely mind blowing! The duck confit was too. We loved the small, intimate setting. We got lucky because I don’t think many people know about Pride. If they did, it would have been standing room only at West. (But forget I said that!!) Bottom line: this is a first rate restaurant and won’t disappoint!”

“Great place to grab a drink and appetizers, and that’s just what we did last night. We didn’t stay for dinner, but if their entrees are as good as the appetizers we had, we’ll definitely be back. We had the calamari, the shrimp and pork potstickers and the jumbo sea scallops. All were VERY delicious, it’s hard to pick which was my favorite. We also ordered a martini (really well made) and the blueberry mojito (too sweet for me). The atmosphere was dim and pleasant and the service was great.”

“We’ve been meaning to try this restaurant for years and finally did last weekend for my husband’s birthday. We both thought after our wonderful meal “what took us so long?” From start to finish everything was delicious, first rate including the service! I do not eat red meat and found lots of options, both seafood and vegetarian. Their fresh steamed vegetables from their own garden were my favorite and almost were my husbands too, he really liked his glass of Zinfandel. We shared the scallops for an appetizer, shared the Caesar salad, I had the crab cakes for an entree, with the steamed vegetables as a side and my husband had the 8 oz Filet, with mushrooms and mashed potatoes and the green peppercorn sauce on the side. They brought us a complementary creme brulee with a candle in it for a birthday treat and luckily did not sing. We will be back very soon as there were many more things on the menu we’d like to try, plus their specials that are not on the menu also sound very good. Thank you for a great meal.”

“We came here for happy hour after our weekly beach walk. My favorite night out is a good steakhouse and this place certainly did not disappoint. The place is off the beaten path, attached to a Hotel and close to Legoland. The ambience is fantastic. We chose a cozy booth in the bar and were warmly greeted by our server, Alynn. She hit the marks on every level: friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and efficient. It’s clear that everyone here works as a team. Every staff member (including the maitre d ) were warm and welcoming. My husband had the lobster bisque which he said was fantastic. I had the squash blossoms, stuffed with goat cheese, and served over fresh greens. We then followed with scallops and filet mignon sliders. Portions were ample and we left satisfied. Have I mentioned that the martini was perfect? This is apparently a stand alone restaurant and is owned by a local family. There is also a lower price bistro next door that has private banquet facilities. We are looking forward to trying the dining room for our next special occasion. One certainly can have a satisfying meal during happy hour. We certainly did, and we can’t wait to return.”

The steak selection is excellent, and while the sizes aren’t huge they are very high quality, cooked exactly as ordered, and delicious. Plus, they come with two sides you get to choose (also delicious, especially the creamed corn). They were easily able to accommodate some food allergy concerns for our son, which is much appreciated. The service was impeccable and attentive. The lighting is low and friendly, but the sound levels can get a bit loud for casual conversation. The scallops and beet salad are the best we’ve ever had and we always get them when we go to West. Most of our table got the evening specials and all were delicious: seasonal tomato soup, Halibut, Surf & Turf were all so flavorful. Our evening was capped off by a special dessert for my husband’s birthday. We all agreed it was the best crème Brule we’ve ever had. it was very creamy, not too sweet and topped with berries and a dollop of fresh whipped cream. Our waitress has waited on us several times and she was THE best! She made excellent suggestions and was very flexible with the menu. We will definitely be back.”
